Finance Manager

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team in Maa Althahab fragrances with the below responsibilities:

  • Leads the financial, Taxation, budgetary control and commercial finance reporting and development process.
  • As‌ ‌Head‌ ‌of‌ ‌Finance,‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌initially‌ ‌leading‌ ‌on‌ ‌transforming‌ ‌the‌ ‌finance‌ ‌function‌ ‌from‌ ‌where‌ ‌it‌ ‌is‌ today‌ ‌to‌ ‌implementing‌ financial‌ ‌systems‌,‌ ‌controls‌ ‌and‌ ‌processes‌ ‌to‌ ‌help‌ ‌a‌ ‌business‌ ‌grow‌ ‌in‌ ‌both‌ ‌size‌ ‌and‌ ‌complexity.
  • Management of finance, accounting, taxing and regulatory processes to ensure compliance with local legal and MDM group SOPs. Including monthly financial reporting; management of Auditors, representing the company in front of local statutory authorities; development and implementation of appropriate internal controls.
  • Ensure that MDM SOPs are effectively communicated to employees and implemented effectively.
  • Supervise and coordinate the following financial activities: monthly end closing, auditing, annual budgeting, and any other financial activity deemed necessary by the CFO or Group Finance Manager .
  •  Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report to management, and  recommend effective solutions.
  • Follow up the local tax and other legal financial obligations of the Company and to conclude them within the legal deadline.
  • Day‌ ‌to‌ ‌day‌ ‌management‌ ‌of‌ ‌the‌ ‌finance‌ ‌department ‌with‌ ‌a‌ ‌focus‌ ‌on‌ ‌continuous‌ ‌improvement,‌ ‌developing‌ ‌the‌ ‌team‌ ‌and‌ ‌improving‌ ‌the‌ ‌efficiency‌ ‌of‌ the ‌finance‌ ‌function
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Participate in the pricing of the company’s products, and report any financial discrepancies to the management and proper authorities.
  • Lead local and outboard bank and cash operations and intercompany settlements effectively.
  • Commercial‌ sense ‌with‌ ‌the‌ ‌ability‌ to ‌identify‌ ‌opportunities‌ ‌for‌ ‌efficiencies‌ ‌and/or ‌ cost ‌ ‌savings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICA , ACCA etc) with relevant experience.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in this field.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Good working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards/local statutory legislation.
  • Good understanding of the Egyptian tax regulations.
  • Adept in handling relations with relevant finance authorities, providers, and banks.
  • Understanding the concepts of due diligence, value for money and ethics and transparency.
